Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Even back then we were recycling...my wedding dress was a gunne sax dress I wore in a pageant and for a prom. Mom (FJS #1) and I altered it after we found out that there wasn't enough money in my parent's wedding budget to pay for a wedding dress. Imagine that?! I was devastated when mom broke the news to me, but somehow she found a way to make the best of the situation and the dress turned out beautiful.
That little blondie there on the right is Dixie.
She's wearing a gunne sax dress too. That was a long time ago,
heck, those dresses are now considered vintage
and are collected by many.
Many thanks to my loving hubby for putting up with this "junker" for so long.

I absolutely love the gunne sax dress. These used to be so popular and it seems like just yesterday. Time certainly has flown by quickly, as I am sure you must feel. Happy 30th anniversary, it certainly is an accomplishment for both of you to have shared such a long life together with many happy years to come.
