Vendor Profile...The Classic Farmhouse and Gypsy Soul

Katie Seldon of The Classic Farmhouse is one of our long time vendors... now you don't have to wait for a show to purchase her wares, she has opened up a shop in Auburn, WA.

 Her displays are always inspiring.
Katie's love for vintage is apparent in all of her products. She hand selects only the best for her customers.
We fell in love with this metal cart.
Ooooh and the color on this cabinet is scrumptious!
Here's the banner we found on her blog that gives you all you need to know to locate her shop. Super big plus...she's in the Sunbreak Cafe building so go early to catch an awesome breakfast!!

Another fun store that is participating in our Puyallup show is
Gypsy Soul (aka Gypsy Home). They are located at 815 NW Wall St in Bend, Oregon.

These chicks really know how to decorate a home and how to outfit you...in
bonefide gypsy style!

You should check out their facebook page and browse through all the awesomeness!

If you can't get to these stores in person remember they'll both be a vendors at our November 4th & 5th show in Puyallup. We are happy to have both of these fine establishments and we know they will  bring their "A" game!

Decorating The Foyer With Flea Market Finds

Today’s guest post is from Susi, a writer for Arcadian Lighting. Founded in 2002, Arcadian Lighting started selling decorative home lighting fixtures and lamps online, and has become one of the top Internet retailers for home lighting products. Visit their website and cool blog for more information. The foyer is often the room we forget to decorate. With a small budget and a keen eye, you can find amazing pieces for your foyer at the flea market. Here are eight of our favorite foyers that have wonderful flea market décor. The great thing about flea market décor is you can mix it in with pieces you already own for a inexpensive but stylish new look. Enjoy!
Foyer Decor
This is such a clever use for vintage suitcases and reclaimed wood... make a console table. If only you could open the suitcases and use them as storage.
Foyer Decor
Traditional style furniture and prints are great flea market finds for your foyer. A drop leaf table makes a perfect console table. Love the vintage phone.
Foyer Decor
A collection of flea market finds makes for a charming foyer. The dresser provides storage for shoes, keys, mail, umbrellas... you name it. Love the upholstery on the vintage chair and the lovely little wall sconces.
Foyer Decor
Recovering a piano bench is a colorful suzani and painting the base transforms it into the perfect seating for an entry. A vintage Mission style umbrella stand is put to good use holding vintage canes.
Foyer Decor
Small flea market finds can create an interesting still life in the foyer. Unusual lamps and objects add personal character in the space.
Foyer Decor
Mixing flea market finds often makes for an eclectic style space. A modern zebra covered bench paired with a rustic wood console and antique map creates a travel inspired foyer. Love the rope shades on the lamps.
Foyer Decor
A collection of botanic prints sets the design for this cottage/rustic foyer. The vintage console table is a great landing place for keys and mail. Love the baskets for storage.
Foyer Decor
Mixing in flea market finds with new or existing furniture can give your foyer an eclectic vintage style. Look for art, mirrors, small stools, baskets, lamps and objects at the flea market to add to your existing foyer décor. For more ideas on a small budget, check out the Arcadian Lighting blog for more inspirations and tips on how you can achieve a stylish decor at a very small price. Also, don't forget to check them out for amazing lighting products such as pendant lights, outdoor lanterns, and many more. Images ( 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 )

It's easy to create silicone stamps

You know we love to create things from items we already have around the house so when we came across this easy tutorial over at Craftzine we went nuts!

We have so many projects we could use this for, like gift bags, designs on painted furniture or old window panes. OOOOhhhhh, this would be soooo cute on a decorative pillow!
The great thing about this is that you can control the size of the stamp...if your doing a big project like a wall...just blow it up on the copier if you need the design to be larger.
You will definitely see projects at our next show that use this technique.
Tell us how you might use these. We love to hear from you!
