Decorating The Foyer With Flea Market Finds
Today’s guest post is from Susi, a writer for Arcadian Lighting. The foyer is often the room we forget to decorate. With a small budget and a keen eye, you can find amazing pieces for your foyer at the flea market. Here are eight of our favorite foyers that have wonderful flea market décor. The great thing about flea market décor is you can mix it in with pieces you already own for a inexpensive but stylish new look. Enjoy!
This is such a clever use for vintage suitcases and reclaimed wood... make a console table. If only you could open the suitcases and use them as storage.
Traditional style furniture and prints are great flea market finds for your foyer. A drop leaf table makes a perfect console table. Love the vintage phone.
A collection of flea market finds makes for a charming foyer. The dresser provides storage for shoes, keys, mail, umbrellas... you name it. Love the upholstery on the vintage chair and the lovely little wall sconces.
Recovering a piano bench is a colorful suzani and painting the base transforms it into the perfect seating for an entry. A vintage Mission style umbrella stand is put to good use holding vintage canes.
Small flea market finds can create an interesting still life in the foyer. Unusual lamps and objects add personal character in the space.
Mixing flea market finds often makes for an eclectic style space. A modern zebra covered bench paired with a rustic wood console and antique map creates a travel inspired foyer. Love the rope shades on the lamps.
A collection of botanic prints sets the design for this cottage/rustic foyer. The vintage console table is a great landing place for keys and mail. Love the baskets for storage.
Mixing in flea market finds with new or existing furniture can give your foyer an eclectic vintage style. Look for art, mirrors, small stools, baskets, lamps and objects at the flea market to add to your existing foyer décor.

Years ago I went with a classic terra cotta tile in my kitchen. The white trend has come in strong but a classic is timeless and my tiles are still warm and welcoming and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love all these foyer ideas. The suitcase table is the best. I just recently redecorated my foyer and I really do love it. But I should have changed the wall paint, so I will be at it again the minute I get a chance!
ReplyDeleteI think the suitcases could be used for storage. Fill them with seasonal/holiday stuff. That way it's out of sight the rest of the year.
