Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Even back then we were recycling...my wedding dress was a gunne sax dress I wore in a pageant and for a prom. Mom (FJS #1) and I altered it after we found out that there wasn't enough money in my parent's wedding budget to pay for a wedding dress. Imagine that?! I was devastated when mom broke the news to me, but somehow she found a way to make the best of the situation and the dress turned out beautiful.
That little blondie there on the right is Dixie.
She's wearing a gunne sax dress too. That was a long time ago,
heck, those dresses are now considered vintage
 and are collected by many.
Many thanks to my loving hubby for putting up with this "junker" for so long.

  1. I absolutely love the gunne sax dress. These used to be so popular and it seems like just yesterday. Time certainly has flown by quickly, as I am sure you must feel. Happy 30th anniversary, it certainly is an accomplishment for both of you to have shared such a long life together with many happy years to come.
