DIY Farmhouse Desk

When we started working on the studio makeover, one of the things I really wanted and desperately NEEDED was a larger work surface. My desk needed to hold my computer, an x-large printer, paint supplies and have enough open work space to package orders.
That's not asking too much is it?

Well, lucky for me I hoard things and this time it paid off. I found this metal folding table at a yard sale for $10 last summer and snagged it right up. From the moment I saw it I knew the base was perfect but the top was just old plywood and wasn't suitable for a work surface. It was also about 3 feet smaller than it needed to be to fit the wall in the office so we decided the best solution was to build a new top and attach it directly to the old one.

DIY Hand Lettered Travel Globe

Globes. They are somewhat of an outdated object - more a toy for kids to spin at the library than a reference material. But that doesn't mean they can't be put to use, and what better way than a fun, up-cycled decor project!
Finding a globe might be the hardest part of this project - I like to pay between $10-$20 for a globe unless it is REALLY cool and I can't live without it! Check out your local thrift stores, antique shops, Offer Up, and of course flea markets like The Great Junk Hunt. Once you have your globe, you can DO IT! And make sure you add details to make it your own!

How to Make A Simple Winter Rope Wreath - step by step tutorial - copper wire

Can I be honest with you all? I don't make wreaths. Wait, what? I can imagine you scrolling back up to the title to make sure you read it right.... Hear me out. I have this old rope that has been hanging around and all I could think about was that it needed to be a wreath. I also thought this was an awesome original idea, but as it turns out many have thought of this before me. So, even though this isn't some amazing new idea, it was still such an easy project that I thought it would be the perfect thing to share here today. I mean, if I - the non wreath maker- can make this, I am SURE you can too!

This is genius! See how this gal created faux shiplap!

Hey, it's me...Linda! I am one of The Funky Junk Sisters. Y'all know I have been designing and creating spaces for along time now. I have worked on some HUGE projects like Desert Trip and Stagecoach Music Festival BUT this gal came up with something I didn't think of...faux shiplap.

I have always tried to find a way to use these leftover blind slats but couldn't ever figure it out.

BillSam3 you are AWESOME!!! You are so PINTEREST worthy! Great job. Check out the full story here...http://www.hometalk.com/23633652/re-purpose-left-over-blind-slats?date=20170103
