Ok Junksisters! Today is your last chance to purchase early bird tickets for our show this weekend. If you don't get them today by 10pm...you can buy them at the door. If you purchased them online, go to WILL CALL to pick up your passes. If you are buying at the door, get there early though, cuz there will be a line.

We have hand selected the best dealers for this Funky Junk Sisters Vintage Market. Here's the list below. More vendors have been added since this list was made so we will have some surprises for ya'll!

Remember our Junk Mannies? We've taken them to tons of shows...

lots of you junkers have had your pictures taken with them.

We had a couple of gals come by our booth at farm chicks and beg (literally) to buy them from us. We just couldn't disappoint them so they now have a new home.

Mind you, they aren't just sitting around....

their new owners put them to work!

Yep the girls at Tracy Jewelers came up with a great marketing scheme.

Don't forget our Puyallup, WA Junk Salvation show is this weekend. Early bird shopping is from 5pm to 8pm on Friday June 22. Early bird tickets are still available here. EARLY BIRD SHOPPERS,you will pick up your tickets at will call (bring your ID).  (You will not receive a ticket in the mail.)

Saturday shopping is from 10am to 4pm on June 23rd.

Awhhh! That's what we can do with it!

The other day we were looking through the junk warehouse and saw a cool wire basket we bought earlier this year. We actually bought two. They looked awesome at shows stacked one on top of the other, but one sold and we just couldn't figure out what to do with the left over basket. Everything we tried just didn't cut the mustard. Then today as we were visiting our friends in blog land and we found this.....

Sweet Kathleen at Faded Charm had some pics of her bathroom redo. 

That basket on the wall is just like the one we have. Why couldn't we come up with this? Kathleen has been a vendor at our shows and we always love her knack for display. 

She's genius at design. 

Thanks for the idea Kathleen! Because of you we will be 

looking for more wire baskets!

Hello Junkin' Peeps!!

 

We are just a little over a week away from our Puyallup Junk Salvation show!
Can ya'll believe it? Gosh this year is flyin' by.
 We have been so blessed this year...our shows have been named
one of the top flea markets in the NATION
by several magazines now...and we just got word it has happened again.
 And to think it all started in Puyallup...in a sports warehouse, in the middle of the forest.

Not sure how many of you made it to our first show, but here's a picture collage of it. 

We only had a few vendors, they were so excited to have a "Farm Chick" like show
on the Western side of the state and they brought their "A" game!
About 500 people came through the door at that first show.
We packed the parking lot and there were cars parked along the roadway as far as you could see.
Ladies lined up at the door (we remember peeking out seeing the line)

 we couldn't believe that we had reached so many people by just writing about our junkin' escapades on our blog.
We looked at each other and screamed "Holy crap!"

We have come a long way since then. This year is our biggest year ever,
we added a show in Texas to make 5 Junk Salvation shows in 2012!

The Funky Junk Sisters

Flea Marketing 101...an experts guide to finding awesome stuff and enjoying the thrill of the hunt!

1. Want the coolest stuff? Be an early bird shopper. Take advantage of purchasing an early buy ticket if there is one, it will get you in before the crowds and you'll be able to get the cream of the crop.

2. Bring cash. Cash will get you the best price and many vendors don't take credit cards.


3. Bring a shopping cart or a wagon, it will save you trips to the car. Throw some recycled shopping bags in there too, many vendors run out of bags in the first couple of hours and the bags prevent things from rolling around in your cart.  

                                     This is the wagon we use when we head out to markets.

4.  Make a list of the things you are looking for before you go, chances are you will be enticed by many things, but at least you will remember your mission. It's a bonus if you come home with some extra treasures!

5.  If you really like something buy it now! Don't wait, at a recent sale we had 4 ladies wanting the same set of orange lockers....one lucky woman was a minute sooner than the other three....she took them home.

6.  Take a good look. Stop at the booths and glance around...a lot of fabulous junk is displayed on top of things. Take time to scan high and low, even if it looks like they have nothing you want. There just may be some hidden treasures in there.

7. We always say... you should circle around the market a few times, you might see something you missed before.

8. If you are a bargain shopper...wait til the last day. You may not get the trendiest items but you will definitely get the best deals.
