Watch Out Grandma B is Breakin Out The Rubiks Cube!

We've been workin on our trailers all weekend, as we have stood in them, worked in them and cleaned in them....we've been dreamin bout their personalities. Dixie thinks hers is a 1949-50 Fan, a bit older than mine which is vintage 1969.

A couple of days ago I was hanging some very mod patterned curtains in mine, I decided it was beginning to look alot like a rolling martini lounge. It just wouldn't be complete without a bar. The problem is...not much room for a bar! Then I remembered Grandma B, my husband's late grandmother. She was the most prim and proper lady you ever did meet. Always wore a dress and many times a lady's suit with beautiful jewelry and perfect hair. At our wedding reception we served champagne, but Gram wanted her favorite drink, McNaughtons, she called it her mouthwash. Gram left the room for a moment, when she returned she was carrying a small suitcase. She sat it on the table and began to open it up. It had several compartments that she revealed to all of us. The best man at our wedding was a witty guy and exclaimed "Watch out Grandma B is breakin out the Rubiks cube!" He was right she unfolded her Trav L Bar and twisted it bit by bit, just like a Rubiks cube! Gosh darn it, she was gonna have McNaughtons one way or another!

Gram is gone now, bless her heart, but that memory still lives with our family.

We have decided to name the Aloha "Berneice" after Grandma B (that way my hubby can call it Bernie and I can use the more feminine version, Berneice). Now Berneice needs a Trav L Bar for her wall, don't cha think?

We're on the hunt now!!!

  4. I love that idea. I also love a gal that knows what she wants and how to get it. No depending on someone else to bring the fixings that she needs...lol. I can hardly wait to see the results.
