We also purchased a beautiful chunky ring from her too. I would have shown ya'll a pic of it also but it's been MIA for awhile. That reminds me, "Dix did you ever find that ring or did Funky Junk Sister #5 run off with it?" If so, I know where to look...she doesn't know I found her stash!!!!! He He He!!!

Recycled Bling
As you know we have trailers on our mind...when we were in Texas this past April we came across the cutest girl selling jewelry out of her little airstream trailer. Here is the pair of earrings I bought at her sweet little silver shop. These are my favorite earrings. They are made out of bottle caps!

Inside the Aloha
Renovations have started on the 1969 Aloha travel trailer that we purchased last weekend. Here are some pics of the inside. This baby is in great shape...no leaks, solid floor, perfect laminate and vinyl. Even the cushions are in excellent shape. We washed them and have decided to keep them original so that made it challenging to find a fabric for the drapes...
But we found it! This mod fabric just screams 1969 don't cha think?
Here are the paint colors we chose to go with the fabric and the retro cushions.
The kitchen area has white laminate with gold flecks. The back splash is sort of a green gold tile that matches the groovy color scheme we like.

We are whisking the trailer off this morning to our friendly automotive guy to check out the axle, then she'll go to a dry warehouse for exterior painting. We'll keep you posted on her progress!
One day she will be the perfect martini lounge....!!!

The Funky Junk Sisters Show was so much fun!
Check out Sue Whitney of Junkmarket Style in our fresh newly designed Funky Junk Sister's junk salvation T shirts! Isn't she adorable? Look closely, her belt is a seat belt decorated with bottle caps....she's a true recycler. We're jumpin in the car for a girl's night out on the town. Remember Sue, what happens in Seattle, stays in Seattle! The darlin Sisters on the Fly trailers were definitely the talk of the show!
Sweet little Funky Junk Cowgirls.
The crowds were amazing...they came out in droves on Friday night!
This dreamy burlap sofa was callin our name. Seriously, not only because it was gorgeous, but it was literally right across from our booth and we needed a place to take a load off! Our tootsies were in some serious pain from all the walkin...aah, the life of a junker.
This old chippy metal patio chair was colorful. We just know if it could talk it would have some interesting stories to tell bout days gone by...family picnics in the freshly mowed grass....or sippin freshly squeezed lemonade on grandma's front porch.
Whoops! Caught Sue grabbin a bite to eat between book signings and seminars!
Martha of Vintage Trifles turned our heads with this FAB creation. Do you see the little vintage bottles with flowers?

More Vendor Profiles
Isn't this notecard cover absolutely gorgeous? It was created by our wonderful friend Izabella of Izabella's Blue. Once again she and her sister will be vendors at our Funky Junk Sisters Vintage Flea Market. Izabella's style is so unique and charming...so nostalgic. When we look at it we think of silent picture films....
To find Izabella at our show, just look for the booth with the crowd around it.
She'll be close by!
-10 slices of French bread
- 2 TBSP of mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP of grated yellow or white onion
-1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 TBSP of GarLic it! Sichuan Pepper Sliced Garlic
- 1/4 cup of fresh shredded Parmesan cheese
Put oven on broil. Mix the grated onion, mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese and Sichuan Pepper Sliced Garlic in a bowl. Spread over the top of each slice of bread, lay on a baking sheet, then sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese over the slices. Broil until brown, serve right away.
We asked Garlicit to sell their product at our show. Now you too can serve your family something special. Maybe they'll even thank you for it, ya think?
This is the best stuff, you gotta try it!

PAWN STARS on HISTORY!
Here is a little something from our trip to VEGAS! We actually were able to see PAWN STARS!!! They began filming when we were there.
This next pic was the only one I was able to get inside of the store... they told me I couldn't shoot anymore once filming started. What a BUMMER! There were so many COOL things that I could of & would of taken pictures of...
I did make friends with the body guard! We hit it off right away... I tried to get him to let me take pictures of everything. There was a lot of talking... so, he let me take his picture! lol
It was one of the highlights of our Vegas Trip! Another highlight was winning at ROULETTE! I was on a roll for awhile...lol
