Vendor Spotlight On Debi Ward Kennedy

Debi & Bob Kennedy have been creating home furnishings and decorative accessories from reclaimed, restyled, refurbished, and re-imagined junk for the past 25 years. They've been doing it out of a love of the process – and necessity! Now they bring their design aesthetic out of their home and to the public. Kennedykennedy Design is their company, and their collections of seasonally inspired products are known as 'Retreat'.

The mood they create embodies their tagline: 'Retreat….where the livin' is easy'
The combination of Bob's 25 years as a contractor and furniture builder and Deb's thirty-plus years as a retail store & display designer, speaker, & writer make for an abundance of creativity and skill. Over 28 years of marriage makes for a pleasant working partnership, as well! With their four children grown, they are now focusing on traveling the West to discover treasures to refurbish and feature in their 'retreat' seasonal collections.

Retreat is an escape from ordinary decorating. Retreat is style - relaxed, comfortable, welcoming, restorative. Retreat is design - useful, innovative, inspired products and environments. Retreat is a philosophy - be creative, be imaginative, and be responsible. reduce, reuse, restyle, remake, redesign, recreate what you have & what you find.

You can find the 'Retreat' seasonal collection at Faded Elegance in Snohomish, Washington and Poppyseeds in Stanwood, Washington. To learn more about retreat visit the Retreat Blog.
Debi Ward Kennedy is also a Seattle-based retail designer, speaker, and writer.(This wonder woman wears many hats!) As a consultant to independent retail merchants, Deb assists in building brand image through the coordinated visual presentation of store environment, product merchandising, and visual marketing.

Hey! Your blog is "lookin' good"! :) OMG, I need to stop blogging and clean my house! Pretty soon my husband will think I'm having an on-line affair!

Hey, feel free to use the photo you wanted on our site...can you copy it or do you need me to email to you? (Sorry, I'm a novice at this!)
Just let me know. Later! Andrea
